The Enterprise Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the long-term success and stability of an organization.

 

As a key member of the management team, this individual is responsible for overseeing risk functions and processes across all entities, working closely with senior leaders to design, manage, and implement a comprehensive approach to managing risk.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing a risk assessment framework that spans the entire organization, enabling effective prioritization and resource allocation for the risk management program
  • Managing recurring procedurally defined risk management tasks to ensure timely completion and adherence to internal procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Leading the Risk Oversight Committee structure for each entity, providing guidance and support to ensure effective decision-making and strategic planning
  • Conducting regular internal control reviews to test high-risk processes for adherence to internal procedures and compliance with applicable rules and regulations
  • Collaborating with the Director of Information Technology to manage the company's Information Security program, ensuring robust protection against cyber threats and data breaches
  • Overseeing compliance calendar management and testing using compliance management tools to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance
  • Coordinating internal and external audit functions, including scheduling and managing internal audits and preparing for regulatory examinations

 

Requirements

  • College degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years' experience in risk management, with a proven track record of successfully mitigating risk and driving business growth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve shared goals
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions
  • Ability to self-identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to drive continuous improvement
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

 

Working Conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, with occasional travel required for meetings and training
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times, with reasonable accommodations available as needed
