Lead C/C++ Software Engineer

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled C/C++ software engineer to support the development and maintenance of high-performance applications within a secure regulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex software systems utilizing C/C++ programming languages.
  • Optimise code for performance, memory usage, and system stability through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate legacy and modern components ensuring seamless operation.
  • Participate in rigorous testing, debugging, and troubleshooting processes across platforms.
  • Maintain version control and build systems (Make, CMake, Git/SVN) ensuring efficient collaboration and deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with secure coding standards and government frameworks ensuring data integrity and security.

Requirements:

  • Experience in C and C++ development with a strong focus on object-oriented programming and low-level system concepts.
  • Strong understanding of memory management, pointers, concurrency, and multi-threading principles.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Windows OS internals and debugging tools with expertise in securing environments.
  • Australian Citizenship with Baseline security clearance as a prerequisite.
