Technical Support Specialist

We're driven by a vision of creating a sustainable energy future, and our on-site laboratory plays a crucial role in this mission. Our project aims to enable the production of approximately 1 million electric vehicles per year for the next 50 years.

The Laboratory Role

This position is responsible for conducting analytical and other procedures at the on-site laboratory, adhering to strict standards of safety, efficiency, and quality control.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain a health and safety culture, ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory policies, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular laboratory audits, handle fibrous materials protocols, and report health, safety, and environmental incidents.
  • Participate in incident and near-miss investigations, contributing to a Continuous Improvement culture within the laboratory.
  • Perform routine checks and calibrations of instruments, sample preparation, dewatering, filtration, sieve sizing, LIMS familiarity, and instrument operation.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Certification in Laboratory Techniques (Cert IV) is highly desirable.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • A First Aid certificate is also desirable.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mining or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in following QA/QC systems.
  • Experience with AAS or ICP (Agilent), fusion machines, and XRD equipment is necessary.
