We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our high-performing, friendly, and dedicated national Australian Acoustics & Vibration team in the Adelaide office. This full-time position will work closely with a great team of Acoustic Consultants who are experienced in the environmental acoustics field.

BESSE/ or Wind farm noise project experience is highly desirable. As part of a wider APAC team of 60+ Acoustic consultants with a vast range of experience in different sectors and levels, you will be part of a collaborative environment that encourages flexibility, autonomy, and opportunities to push yourself.

As a Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of small to large-scale projects requiring a broad knowledge and understanding of engineering methods and techniques to solve problems.

• You will carry out technical tasks that require accuracy in calculations, data analysis, modeling, and design, including manipulating and managing large data sets.
• You will work on a wide range of projects, including environmental noise monitoring, building acoustics, 3D computer noise modeling, numerical analysis of results, and associated reporting.
• You will be comfortable mentoring/guiding junior-level staff.
• Your role will include developing business development skills to bring your own influence to the breadth and range of projects the team works on, with support from senior team members as needed.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A relevant Bachelor's degree (ideally mechanical or electrical engineering, environmental engineering, or science) or postgraduate degree in acoustics.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience within a consulting environment (we will also consider more or less experienced consultants).
• Demonstrated experience in building acoustics and environmental noise assessment.
• Experience with noise monitoring equipment and 3D computer noise models (SoundPLAN) would be highly desirable.
• The ability to be self-sufficient and build on your business development skill set as we all look to contribute to this area.
• A proven record of high-level project delivery will be favourable to your application.

$85,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
