The Treasury Graduate Program offers an exciting opportunity to launch your career in the dynamic field of public finance. As a graduate, you will be part of a team that plays a vital role in shaping Western Australia's economic future.

Our agency is at the centre of Government decision-making, responsible for managing Western Australia's public sector finances and formulating and implementing key policy initiatives. Our policy advisory role covers a wide range of issues, including revenue policy, infrastructure provision, and economic growth.

In 2026, we will become a larger agency, providing an even greater Graduate Program experience and more opportunities for career development and advancement across multiple functional areas.

The 18-month structured Graduate Program includes three diverse rotations across Treasury, with the potential for a rotation to a related government entity. During this time, you will work on individual and team-based projects, developing intricate knowledge of Treasury work areas and being exposed to high-impact and meaningful work.

  • You will be exposed to a wide range of work areas, including policy analysis, economics, finance, budget analysis, and accounting;
  • Grow your capability and practical skills by performing challenging work that makes a difference;
  • Continue your development journey with extensive training opportunities;
  • Expand your professional network across the sector and industry; and
  • Join other committed young professionals in a supportive network that runs regular social events and community volunteering.

To be considered for the Treasury Graduate Program, you must meet the eligibility criteria:

  • Have successfully completed a tertiary degree between December 2023 and December 2025;
  • Demonstrate high academic achievement (Weighted Average Mark of 70% or above);
  • Be an Australian Citizen or an Australian permanent resident at the time you lodge your application; and
  • Be available to start the program in mid-January 2026.
