About the Role

As a Line Cook, you will report to the Head Chef and work alongside other senior kitchen staff. Your responsibilities will include supporting the efficient operation of the kitchen and collaborating with the team to deliver high-quality service to guests while adhering to kitchen policies and procedures.

You will showcase a love for culinary arts and a talent for creating dishes using local ingredients. This position will allow you to engage in various areas including our restaurants, conference events, and room service.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. Dining options at RACV Healesville Country Club and Resort include buffet breakfast services, evening dining, and in-room dining. Additionally, we cater to large corporate groups utilizing our conference and event facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering consistently high-quality dishes;
• Managing stock rotation to minimize waste;
• Overseeing operational duties within your section;
• Contributing to all areas of kitchen operations;
• Training and supervising apprentices and junior staff.

Full availability and flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, is essential for this position.

Qualifications for Success

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef or Chef de Partie in a 4-5 star hotel/resort or similar environment;
• A recognized Commercial Cookery qualification in Australia;
• Proven experience in culinary skills and proficient knife skills;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy work environment;
• Capability to lift 20kgs and perform repetitive manual tasks safely;
• Full working rights in Australia.
