About the Role

As a Strategic Programme Lead for Infrastructure Projects at Local Peoples, you will play a crucial role in overseeing project goals, timelines, and quality to ensure high standards and consistent delivery.

You will manage project design, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation, engaging with key stakeholders across government levels, driving innovation, and supporting the agency's strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and execute projects with potential agency-wide impact, creating, implementing, and assessing project plans and timelines following the agency's framework and accounting for project interdependencies.
  • Work closely with team members and engage with both internal and external stakeholders, supervising project design, governance, and operational integration.
  • Ensure project deliverables and milestones are achieved on schedule and within budget, reporting on project objectives and outcomes to executives, managing financial budgets, and overseeing contracts, procurement, resources, and expenditures.
  • Identify, evaluate, manage, escalate, and monitor project risks, issues, and benefits, including developing strategies for risk mitigation.
Requirements
  • Experience and expertise in delivering infrastructure projects.
  • Capability to perform effectively under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Proven success in leading technical teams and managing cross-disciplinary programs from project initiation to product delivery.
  • Ability to enhance the agency's operations by improving project management systems, processes, and tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Experience in tracking complex ICT projects and resolving blocking issues.
  • Familiarity with AGILE methodology and project tracking techniques.
  • Competence in producing talking points, project documentation, and conducting independent research and issue resolution as needed.
