We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Radiation Oncology. As part of this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care and support.

This is a part-time or casual position available for an experienced Registered Nurse looking to make a difference in the lives of patients undergoing radiation oncology treatment. You will be part of a small team that provides best practice nursing services, working closely with doctors, physicists, and radiation therapists to ensure seamless communication and care delivery.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing excellent patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met.
  • Undertaking direct patient care, including education, wound management, and medication administration as per practice protocol.
  • Effectively managing patient flow and prioritizing tasks to ensure timely care delivery.
  • Facilitating effective communication between healthcare professionals and providing feedback and updates on patient status.
  • Documenting and communicating all patient interactions and actions taken.
Requirements:">

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • A minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience (preferably in oncology nursing).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding for patients and their families.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex care situations.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practice principles and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Experience in wound care management and a willingness to learn and adapt to new protocols.
