Job Overview

Ventia is seeking a highly motivated environmental professional with skills to facilitate environmental and contaminated land projects. This includes collecting and reporting on environmental and contaminated land data specifically in groundwater.

Key project areas may include soil contamination, landfill gas, data quality, planning, and facilitating site maintenance and improvement programs.

The ideal candidate will have industry experience in groundwater or surface water monitoring, although qualifications in environmental science or a related field are also desirable.

Responsibilities include data collection, laboratory coordination, data collation, and some minor reporting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for undertaking field work, documenting field work, and maintaining onsite monitoring equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data collection of large-scale environmental monitoring programs for government and private interests.
  • Project works including OH&S, financial, laboratory coordination, data collation, and some minor reporting.
  • Undertaking field work and environmental data collection activities for both surface & groundwaters, gas monitoring, soil sampling.
  • Documenting field work for sampling, monitoring, and OH&S with attention to detail and data quality.
Requirements
  • Industry experience in groundwater or surface water monitoring (desirable).
  • Qualifications in environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, environmental engineering, or other similar fields.
  • High-level MS Excel user and experience in ESDAT, Hydstra, Campbells, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS (desirable).
  • Excellent time management and an eagerness to acquire new skills and meet new challenges.
  • Ability to routinely travel and work remotely, away from home for up to a week at a time.
