We are seeking an experienced Optical Dispenser to join our team at Costco Wholesale in Ipswich. As an Optical Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of quality in our Optical Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Assist members with choosing eyeglass frames and lens options, fit and adjust lenses to eyeglass frames, dispense eyeglasses and contacts, and answer questions regarding prescriptions, merchandise, and services.
  • Optical Operations: Process sales, organize and fill member prescriptions, place special orders to outside suppliers, stock department equipment, merchandise, and supplies, and follow department procedures and standards.
  • Financial Transactions: Receive accurate payment for merchandise, make change, process checks, credit, and debit charges according to proper departmental procedures, and exercise discretion and confidentiality with all patient information.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Provide prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers, and assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Education: Either currently completing or previously completed Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing.
  • Experience: Previous experience as an Optical dispenser.
  • Skills: Excellent team player, strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
