Job Summary: A highly skilled Senior Database Administrator is required to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Oracle databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Oracle databases
  • Maintain database security, backups, and recovery procedures
  • Monitor and improve the performance of Oracle database servers
  • Oversee high availability and disaster recovery processes
  • Liaise with external vendors and clients for seamless operations
  • Provide on-call support and troubleshooting as required

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience with Oracle database administration in a medium-to-large organization
  • Experience with Oracle Database Appliance and Oracle KVM Virtualization would be an advantage
  • Proven expertise in IT operations with a deep understanding of database architecture, principles, and best practices
  • Extensive experience managing database administration tasks including backups, recovery, refreshes, sizing, performance tuning, and security
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle Linux server administration
  • Expertise in High Availability and Disaster Recovery, including Oracle Data Guard
