Network Observability Team

We are seeking a Staff Platform Architect to join our Network Observability team, who will be responsible for designing and implementing network monitoring solutions for the Group. This role will work closely with the wider Network team to deliver complex projects and drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with Engineers, Product Owners, and Chapter Leads to develop solution designs for Cloud Network Automation services.
  • Technical Leadership: Maintain overall accountability for platform design and engineering, setting the agenda for key strategic initiatives.
  • Deliverables: Lead complex deliverables and solution planning, ensuring technical deliveries are aligned to engineering direction and strategy.
  • Problem-Solving: Design and implement simple solutions to complex problems, including retiring and removing obsolete systems architecture.
  • Leadership: Provide engineering and design leadership for engineers and team members.
  • Integration: Integrate with public cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Azure, and hybrid cloud network integration.
  • Service Management: Ensure all services within the IT service portfolio are managed with consideration to network, capacity, platform, sociability/scalability factors, and target architecture.

Requirements:

  • Programming Experience: Extensive programming experience in a complex enterprise, with a focus on Python.
  • AWS Experience: Experience in building AWS cloud-based solutions.
  • Platform Roadmaps: Experience in setting platform roadmaps and establishing technical pathways to the desired end state.
  • Grafana Stack Admin: Experience with Grafana stack administration, including full life-cycle management.
  • Software Deployment: Experience with software deployment systems, including Kubernetes.
  • Network Knowledge: Foundational network knowledge and/or network engineering background.
  • Micro-Service Driven Architecture: Understanding of micro-service driven architecture.
  • Communication: Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
