About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our high-performing Public Law - Commercial team in Canberra. You will work closely with pre-eminent partners in a leading national firm, providing exceptional legal services to government clients.

You will be joining a cohesive and friendly team that supports each other to produce work of first-class excellence. Key Responsibilities

  • Advising Australian government clients on a broad range of ICT, government procurement, and commercial matters
  • Working on complex, high-value, and nationally significant projects undertaken by governments
  • Providing pragmatic and solutions-focused ICT, procurement, and commercial advice
  • Contributing to business development activities and supporting partners in a collaborative team environment

About You

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • 5+ years' experience as a commercial lawyer working with government clients
  • Procurement and general commercial law experience
  • Strong technical, analytical, drafting, and research skills
  • A collaborative and team-focussed attitude
  • Strong emotional intelligence and inter-personal skills
  • Motivated, with a keenness to learn and innovate
