Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing the organization's risk management frameworks and strategies, ensuring they are integrated into business operations to strengthen the control environment, improve the risk position, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Head of Risk Management in driving a proactive risk culture across the division.
  • Enhancing the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Strengthening the control environment and improving the risk position.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting innovative risk management solutions aligned with the organization's strategic direction and growth objectives.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including leadership teams, heads of business units, Group Risk, Group Compliance, and Internal Audit.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in risk management, ideally across the People & Culture (P&C) and/or Group Risk landscape and in a leadership position, leading Risk Specialist teams.
  • Proven track record developing and implementing risk management frameworks, particularly within the financial services industry with a focus on P&C and/or Group Risk.
  • Ability to provide pragmatic risk advice, deliver risk insights, and support the business in reducing complexity and risk.
  • Experience delivering risk governance activities, including key risk indicators (KRIs) and risk reporting to senior committees.
  • Strong logical reasoning, attention to detail, exceptional communication, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
