AV Event Technician Role

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced AV event technician to join our team as a full-time employee under a fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be skilled in delivering both onsite and remote event delivery, audiovisual support, system checks, and incident management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure operational availability of allocated event spaces and meeting rooms by carrying out regular and pre-event equipment checks.
  • Perform L1/L2 incident management and escalate to L3 incident management as required.
  • Work with other sites and via other delivery channels to deliver services, collaborating with peers in other locations.
  • Maintain configuration management data using preferred toolsets.
  • Attend post-event debriefs for each event.
  • Contribute to the development of operating procedures and processes.
  • Participate in problem-management activities.
  • Perform proactive maintenance and reporting to ensure all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly.
  • Demonstrate Self Service AV and VC Capabilities to end users wherever possible.
  • Support service continuity, including preparation for restoration of service from power downs, black building exercises, and other planned or unplanned business continuity management activities.
  • Assist with software upgrades and video/audio conferencing problem support, investigating faults and recommending further actions to rectify them.
  • Advise clients on best practice.
