Oversee the design process for high-profile construction projects with a leading Australian builder.

About the Role
  • Act as Project Manager of Design, providing management services to clients during Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), estimating teams during tender, and project teams during construction.
  • Manage Safety in Design (SID) risks transfer from designers to construction teams;
  • Engage consultants, plan costs, and conduct team meetings;
  • Identify Value Engineering opportunities and manage the construction documentation and shop drawing process;

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify documentation compliance with building regulations, authority requirements, client brief, minimum standards, and final construction methodology;

Requirements:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Design Manager for a reputable builder;
  • Experience in functional briefs, consultant scopes, and engagements;
  • Track record on projects over $50M;
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, and ACONEX software;
  • Strong presentation and communication skills with a collaborative approach;
