Responsibilities:

As a Light Vehicle Automotive Technician, you will work under close supervision of qualified mechanics, responsible for tyre maintenance, general mechanical repairs, servicing, and routine maintenance. You will work alongside a small support team and report to the Workshop Manager.

Key duties for 2nd-year apprentices include:

  • Completing JAX vehicle inspection reports, ensuring all completed work is noted and recommendations are flagged and communicated to the customer
  • Conducting a complete range of motor vehicle diagnoses in accordance with industry standards and practices
  • Utilising your knowledge and skills to acquire vehicle parts and accessories for repairs, with a commercially minded focus
  • Performing thorough maintenance on machinery and equipment
  • Completing wheel aligning, fitting, and balancing of tyres

About you:

You will have a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A current driver's license
  • Time management skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
