Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team in Smithfield. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our laboratory results.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and performing laboratory testing, preparing analytical reports, and working efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Preparing and performing laboratory testing
  • Preparing analytical reports
  • Demonstrating eagerness to learn and willingness to take on additional tasks as directed
  • Working efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-production environment
  • Diligently following safety standards, testing methods and quality processes

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated work experience in a similar discipline (including TAFE certificates and diplomas)
  • Worked in a similar production laboratory environment
  • A positive work attitude, a willingness to learn new skills and be a great team player
  • Confident communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and ability to reorganise priorities quickly
  • Diligence in dealing with data and details and intermediate knowledge of MS applications

Compensation Package

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes superannuation and opportunities for professional development and growth within the company.
