Job Title: Movement Therapist

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) to become part of a proactive organization working collaboratively with Dietitians, Diabetes Educators, and other allied health and medical staff.

You will work across multiple medical centers and allied health facilities within Ipswich with outreach to the Brisbane, Springfield, and Somerset region. The successful applicant will work on a part or full-time basis, stepping into an existing patient load and servicing medical centers and allied health facilities with an established referral base.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-based advice and treatment in chronic disease prevention and management, health and fitness, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
  • Measure and assess patients' exercise history and fitness levels along with interpreting anthropometric data.
  • Facilitate and instruct community exercise classes as required.
  • Present informative talks about various health topics related to exercise and physical activity as required.
  • Travel to service delivery locations and provide excellent client service.
Requirements:
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Acreditation as an Exercise Physiologist through Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport.
  • A current driver's license and car, with a commitment to associated travel.
