About the Role

Building Partners Recruitment Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join their team. As a Fire Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on fire protection systems, including portable equipment, fire doors, and wet fire systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and report on fire protection systems, including portable equipment, fire doors, and wet fire systems
  • Carry out repairs to portable equipment
  • Plan and schedule your own workload to meet client expectations
  • Communicate with customers on defect findings

Main Tasks:

  • Testing fire panels, pumps, and emergency warning systems, including emergency lighting and portable fire equipment
  • Adhering to all workplace health and safety requirements for each client site
  • Testing of emergency warning and illumination systems and building occupant warning systems
  • Completing all maintenance log documentation
  • Raising defect reports
  • Being an integral member of the on-call team, handling emergency out-of-hours call-outs when required
  • Supporting other teams and staff

Requirements:

  • Electrical trade qualifications highly desirable but not essential
  • Current manual NSW driver's license
  • Reliability and a commitment to high work standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work unsupervised, as well as being part of a team
  • A great attitude, willingness to be part of a team, and a strong focus on helping customers
  • A proactive and conscientious attitude, willingness to be part of a team, and a strong focus on helping customers
