Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Allied Health Assistant to join our team.

This is a Permanent Part-time position located in Western Australia, catering for up to 114 residents with Low, High and Dementia Specific care as well as Extra Services.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional care to our residents and have a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent. A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide mobility and exercise programs to our residents under the direction and supervision of the Physiotherapist.
  • Provide recreational and other therapeutic activity programs to our residents under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
  • Participate in the organisation and planning of therapy programs.
  • Deliver a range of therapy-based activity programs as directed.
  • Complete accurate documentation in line with relevant guidelines.
  • Accompany resident groups on outings.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or higher/equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent/higher or experience (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience in a similar role preferred (Occupational Therapist Assistant or Physiotherapist Assistant).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to lead and coach staff to deliver quality lifestyle and therapy activities.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Empathy with the elderly.
  • Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.
