Pathology Collector and Record Keeper

We are seeking a skilled and reliable pathology collector to join our casual collections team.
As a Medical Laboratory Assistant, your primary duties will include collecting blood and other samples from patients, accurately labelling them, and ensuring their timely and safe delivery to the laboratory.
You will also maintain accurate records and provide exceptional customer service to our patients.
- Contribute to a high-quality pathology collection service across inpatient, outpatient and home care settings.
- Deliver a premium healthcare service to all referrers and consumers.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Certificate III in Pathology Collections and/or previous experience in venepuncture or demonstrated ability to learn all aspects of the clinical environment relevant to the role.
- Proven customer service experience and skills, including effective communication with patients, carers, and clinical staff in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills, with ability to resolve general issues within the clinical environment, including specimen preparation and transport ensuring viability of specimens.
Applicants must be willing to participate in flexible work arrangements, including weekend work as required and travel to any site or location within the operational area as requested.
