Vehicle Operations Specialist

The role of Vehicle Operations Specialist involves assisting with the inspection and preparation of incoming vehicles. This includes check-in, digital imaging, vehicle cleaning and preservation, auction numbering and setup, as well as responding to customer needs.

">Key Responsibilities">
  • Record and file information on incoming vehicles">
  • Thoroughly clean vehicles to enhance their value at auction">
  • Operate passenger vehicles in a safe manner for moving vehicles around the facility or participating in drive-through auctions">
  • Numbering, preparation and setup for weekly/biweekly auction">
  • Recover keys, license plates, and other information from vehicles and store them in the appropriate locations">
  • Assist visitors by providing guidance and directing them to the appropriate person">
  • Perform basic forklift/loader operation">
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures">
">Additional Duties">
  • Reads and understands documents, such as safety rules and operating instructions">
  • Remain alert to potential hazards associated with heavy equipment and other vehicles">
  • Meets key performance metrics, including daily, weekly, and monthly goals">
  • Learn how to operate a forklift (may not be required in certain facilities)">
  • Capable of interacting effectively with customers and towers">
  • Perform and/or assist with light maintenance of vehicles">
  • Perform activities involving stooping, bending, standing, and walking for reasonable periods">
  • Work indoors and outdoors year-round, and climb on and off large equipment and trucks">
">Requirements">
  • 2-3 years related experience">
  • Experience in the equipment rental or construction industry is preferred">
  • Previous forklift operating experience is a plus">
  • Basic automotive repair skills">
  • Proficiency with handheld PDA">
  • Ability to function well as part of a team">

  • Work indoors and outdoors year-round">
  • Climb on and off large equipment and trucks">
