
Regional Mental Health Professional

The primary goal of this role is to provide support and guidance to young individuals with complex mental health needs.
These young people may exhibit challenging behaviors that can make it difficult for them to engage in treatment, and the successful candidate will need to be able to establish trust and rapport with these individuals.
The focus of this position is on working within regional communities, providing evidence-based interventions, and facilitating referrals to specialist settings as required.
">Key Responsibilities:">- Engage and support young people with complex mental health needs.
- Provide evidence-based interventions to guide future management of these young people in primary health settings.
- Facilitate timely access to targeted clinical care, reducing unnecessary hospitalizations.
- Develop and use multiagency care plans to coordinate care across services involved in a young person's care.
Be a confident, collaborative team player with an engaging personality aligned with NSW Health values: Collaboration, Openness, Respect, and Empowerment.
Hold a relevant Australian standard qualification (refer to position description).
