Key Responsibilities

The Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of research programs and initiatives.

This includes leading annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, working closely with the Finance Manager to consolidate departmental budgets and forecasts into an integrated organisational budget, ensuring alignment with overall financial plan and strategic objectives.

  • Prepare and present monthly management reports, forecasts and variance analyses.
  • Monitor grant/project budgets, funding and expenditure tracking.
  • Liaise with research administration offices to confirm deliverables and compliance timelines.
  • Prepare accurate and timely grant acquittals.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting is also essential.

Additionally, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively collaborate with stakeholders. Knowledge of financial systems and software (preferably Adaptive Planning) is a plus.
