About the Role

At Uniting AgeWell, we are committed to providing high-quality ageing support and services to clients throughout the Swan Hill and surrounding communities. As a Home Care Domestic Support worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients by providing domestic assistance, social support, and transportation as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel between clients' homes to provide domestic support and assistance with daily tasks
  • Assist with meal preparation, household chores, and other domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Observe and report any changes in clients' physical, emotional, or behavioural status
  • Provide social support and transportation services as required, promoting independence and autonomy
  • Ensure clients' rights, cultural, spiritual, and individual needs are respected and met
  • Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining friendly, supportive, and professional relationships with clients and their families
Requirements
  • A current Victorian Driver's Licence
  • A registered, roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates, or a willingness to obtain them
  • Previous experience in a home care setting or providing domestic support (desirable)
  • Knowledge of community care and a commitment to maintaining high standards for clients and their families
  • An understanding of client-directed care
  • The ability to thrive in a team environment while valuing one-on-one interactions
Essential Requirements
  • Working With Children Check (Employee)
  • A satisfactory National Criminal Police Record Check OR NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Annual vaccination(s) as per the Uniting AgeWell vaccination policy
  • Australian work rights
