Software Integration Specialist

 
Job Description
As part of our Naval Systems Integration team, you will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, testing and maintenance of software across diverse environments. Primarily, this includes Linux-based systems, network switches, virtual machines and containerized applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain software integration environments, including integration and installation of software and equipment into test reference sites and various Linux-based environments.
  • Configure, manage and troubleshoot network switches to enable secure and efficient data flow between integrated systems.
  • Implement, deploy, manage and configure containerized applications using Docker.
  • Deploy, manage and troubleshoot Linux-based virtual machines and network environments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ansible for system provisioning, configuration management and software deployment.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor's degree) in a relevant discipline (Software Engineering, Computer Science, etc.), and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry). Experience in integration of software components in near real-time software-intensive systems, integration of COTS/MOTS components, integration testing of software-intensive systems, development of software components within software-intensive systems, and proficiency in networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, routing and switching).
