Geotechnical Engineering Graduate Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic geotechnical engineering graduate to join our team. As a geotechnical engineer, you will be involved in the planning and execution of field-based projects across Australia.

Your primary responsibilities will include conducting soil investigations and surveying work in the field, supporting the senior geotechnical engineering team with surveying and footings, providing geotechnical reviews and advice to stakeholders, and tracking and managing areas of risk.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical advice to operations during greenfield analysis on reserves quality, drilling programs and geotechnical parameters.
  • Conduct soil investigations and surveying work in the field.
  • Support the senior geotechnical engineering team with surveying and footings.
  • Provide geotechnical reviews and advice to stakeholders, and track and manage areas of risk.
  • Conduct PERC/JORC reporting for reserves and resources.
  • Identify and support operations with shortage of reserves, and assess appropriate replacement reserves.
What You Will Learn:
  • Geotechnical software, including deswik CAD, LeapFrog, and MINEX.
  • Field work, surveying, footings, and testing required for geotechnical engineering projects.
  • Experience in a high-performance workplace, with mentoring by senior professionals and geotechnical engineers.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
