About the company/role:
Our client, a global environmental organization, is seeking an Electrical Coordinator with extensive HV switching experience to join their team in a Brisbane-based role. This is an ongoing position with the potential for extension or permanence. The role will start immediately and involve overseeing asset renewal projects and working with a team of project engineers.


This role will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously, with estimated values ranging from $10k to $500k. You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of electrical systems, particularly high-voltage equipment, to ensure safe and efficient operation in an industrial setting. You will also provide advice on renewals and maintenance.


Key responsibilities include:



  • Planning and executing the full project lifecycle, including managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of electrical systems, particularly high-voltage equipment, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Assisting with business development and tender submission, including scoping, project planning, design, estimating, and procurement.
  • Delivering assigned projects within budget and to agreed schedule, including safe completion of all phases.
  • Identifying, managing updates, and issuing controlled versions of all documentation that needs to be modified as a result of projects.
  • Liaising with personnel from operations and maintenance, procurement, and asset management teams to ensure successful initiation and implementation of a project.
  • Managing subcontractors and consultants for delivery of project outcomes, including site supervision of subcontractors and technical oversight of engineering consultants.

Requirements:



  • Electrical license/certification and solid HV switching experience.
  • Extensive project delivery experience within water, mining, or manufacturing industry.
  • Ability to assist in financial costing, budget development, monitoring, and asset management.
  • Thorough analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Knowledge and experience of Google suite of programs (Google Docs and Google Sheets).
  • Previously experience working in utilities, manufacturing, oil & gas sectors.
