**About the Department of Education**

The department plays a crucial role in providing learning and development support, policy leadership, and strategic workforce initiatives.

The Schools Human Resources Division implements strategic workforce initiatives, provides human resource services, and offers HR data to build a high-quality and diverse workforce. The Policy Workplace Relations and Initiatives Branch supports Victorian government schools with industrial and employee relations, as well as implementing initiatives for teacher supply across the state.

Operating in a fast-paced environment, the Assistant Manager will lead and deliver workforce initiatives and support services to build teacher supply for Victorian government schools. Key responsibilities include optimising team skills, driving customer service excellence, and providing expert HR advice and tailored workforce support solutions.

We are looking for individuals who can:

- Manage and lead a team, including workload allocation and staff supervision.
- Provide leadership, information, and guidance to employees, ensuring outcomes meet project objectives.
- Drive the delivery of workforce initiatives and complex HR systems, processes, and communication.
- Develop key business resources and communication action plans to foster partnerships with schools.
- Support project management and procurement processes as required.

Tertiary qualifications and experience in project management or human resources are desired.
