Job Details

We're looking for an experienced Food Service Assistant to join our team. You should be able to commit to a range of shifts between 7:30am - 5:30pm, across Monday to Saturday.

You'll be part of a team that nourishes children while they explore and have fun in a family-friendly space designed for parents to relax.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Preparing and presenting food
  • Barista skills to prepare and serve hot beverages
  • Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and kitchen area standards
  • Managing and ordering stock and supplies
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
  • All kitchen paperwork requirements
  • Preparing platters for parties
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Café Operations: Prepare and present café-style food and drinks, maintain high standards of presentation and quality
  2. Kitchen Management: Manage and order stock and supplies, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
  3. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and provide excellent customer service
Qualifications and Skills
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a Café or Barista Assistant is highly desirable
  • Qualifications: A current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain, hold a Food Safety Supervisor and Food Handling Certificate
  • Personal Qualities: Friendly presence, good personal presentation, confidence, adaptability, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
