The Squiz product team is dedicated to creating a cloud-based Digital Experience Platform (DXP) that encompasses essential functionalities such as Content Management, Optimization tools, and Platform services.
We are in search of a Software Engineer Team Lead to enhance our product engineering team on a permanent basis, concentrating on advancing the Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities throughout the DXP. This position is ideal for a technology leader with a Software Engineering background and recent experience in integrating Large Language Models (LLM) and related technologies into SaaS products.
Location Flexibility: This role is available to candidates on the east coast of Australia.
This position supports a hybrid work model, allowing you to determine the most effective work environment for yourself.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in software development, particularly in building and maintaining large-scale software solutions.
- Expertise in full-stack development, with a focus on AI tools, languages, and frameworks.
- A solid understanding of testing principles, with demonstrated experience in implementing testing strategies to enhance software quality and reliability.
- Experience with Agile or other iterative development methodologies, primarily Scrum, with some teams utilizing Kanban.
- A strong grasp of secure coding practices, particularly community standards such as OWASP.
- Prior experience in leading a team of technology professionals, including software engineers.
- Familiarity with a tech stack that includes Typescript, React, Node, and AWS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock.
- Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) and/or Digital Experience Platforms (DXP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide a team of engineers in the integration of AI into our Digital Experience Platform (DXP).
- Collaborate closely with our AI Product Manager to develop and execute an AI-centric Product Roadmap.
- Design and enhance robust application code that fulfills all technical specifications.
- Work with team members to create User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and project estimates.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and support to senior engineers.
- Document and maintain software specifications and guidelines.
