The primary objective of this role is to provide dedicated support to teachers, focusing on the facilitation of student routines and coordination of educational programs. This will involve collaborating with teachers to develop and implement effective strategies for enhancing student learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

Main Responsibilities

  • Supports teachers in the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision
  • Provides routine support for teachers including assisting with planning of student routines
  • Communicates with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities
  • Assists with providing basic physical care and wellbeing support for students as required
  • Supports communication between teachers and parents
  • Addresses immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting aligned to school policy and procedure
  • Provides basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting
  • Facilitates teamwork by collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives

This is a part-time position requiring a commitment of three days per week. The successful applicant will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development.

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and certification, ideally up to three years, and a strong commitment to collaborative practice and lifelong learning.
