Senior Explosive Ordnance Systems Engineer

The Australian Government Department of Defence is seeking a highly skilled Senior Explosive Ordnance Systems Engineer to join their Maritime Explosive Ordnance System Program Office (MEOSPO) team in Canberra, Penrith, Amberley, Melbourne or HMAS Stirling.
This exciting opportunity will see you working as an APS 6 Engineering Professional, where you will play a key role in delivering critical engineering activities and providing advice to stakeholders. As a Senior Explosive Ordnance Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating, analysing and reporting on engineering concepts and risks, managing the configuration of guided weapons and explosive ordnance items, planning and delivering complex engineering projects, providing expert advice to executives, mentoring junior members, and enabling good inventory decisions with quality and timely engineering advice.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a background in explosive ordnance, mechanical, chemical or electrical engineering, and demonstrate experience as a productive and collaborative team member delivering high-quality engineering activities. You must also be able to analyse, interpret and apply engineering guidance, policy and regulations, influence stakeholders and evaluate strategies to achieve outcomes.
