About the RoleThis is an ideal opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing person-centred care and support to people of all ages and backgrounds. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living tasks, including personal care, administering medications, and mobility assistance.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working with individuals with high care needs and challenging behaviours. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with personal care tasks, including showering, toileting, dressing, and more
- Administer medications and provide diabetes training as required
- Provide mobility assistance using hoists and slide sheets
- Assist with domestic duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Support clients with community engagement, including attending doctors' appointments, grocery shopping, and social activities
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Commitment to infection prevention and control measures
- A smartphone with iOS 13.0 or Android 6.0 operating system
- An hourly rate based on your industry-related experience and qualifications
- Above award minimum pay level of $33.01 per hour at Level 1.1 for new entrants
- Paid industry-leading training provided by health professionals
- Additional penalty rates for night and weekend shifts
- Salary packaging benefits for permanent part-time employees
