Director of Quality and Care

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Quality and Care to lead our team in delivering exceptional care and services that meet the highest standards.
This is a part-time role, working 22.5 hours per week, where you will be responsible for ensuring quality governance, compliance, and the competency of team members.
As our Director of Quality and Care, you will identify improvement opportunities, provide hands-on support in remediating gaps, and coach the Care Home leadership team for sustainability.
About the Care Home
Bupa South Morang is a modern care home located in a quiet suburban area with excellent transport links and local shops.
With 65 beds and a variety of care types, we strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for our residents.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality-focused leadership and coaching to team members.
- Guide staff in documentation and recording to ensure high-quality care and services.
- Develop team members' knowledge and understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and their scope of practice.
- Identify areas for employee skill development and create plans to address these gaps.
- Maintain the Care Home's Plan for Continuous Improvement (PCI) with the leadership team.
- Complete monthly Quality Indicator Reports, analyzing data and implementing improvements.
- Ensure timely submission of National Quality Indicator program data.
- Coordinate regular Care Home Audits as part of our Operations Essential audit program.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent required, with current AHPRA registration essential.
- Postgraduate qualification in Aged Care and Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) desirable.
- Proven track record in delivering quality clinical care, coaching, and training.
- Foster a team environment and build collaborative relationships.
- Highly effective communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
- Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated annual salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000, depending on experience.
