Key Responsibilities

The role of a BI Data Modeller involves developing end-to-end business intelligence data modelling solutions. This includes creating Azure Synapse data models, PowerBI semantic models, deployment pipelines, and PowerBI dashboards and reports.

  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders to finalise requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Design and implement data warehouse solutions using dimensional and tabular modelling principles.
  • Maintain current documentation, including data model solutions, conceptual diagrams, physical diagrams, and entity relationship diagrams.
  • Work closely with the data engineering team to identify and resolve data quality issues.
Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Certification in MS Azure (Synapse, Analytics) is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as a BI Data Modeller, with a strong portfolio of successful Power BI Projects.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling concepts, dimensional and tabular modelling, and data warehouse design principles.
Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the key requirements, we are looking for candidates with:

  • Technical strengths in Azure Synapse, SQL, PowerBI, DAX, Power Query & Power Automate and data modelling tools.
  • Expertise in PowerBI data model optimisation using external tools.
  • Knowledge of Fabric is highly desirable.
