At CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay, we're seeking a skilled WHS Specialist to drive our workplace health and safety initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in coordinating current WHS initiatives, reviewing and updating the WHS Management system, and providing advice and support to managers and employees on all WHS related issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for a WHS professional to make a real impact, working closely with key stakeholders to understand and implement WHS policy and procedures, leveraging knowledge of WHS and Workers Comp legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact for all WHS matters, ensuring compliance with incident management, reporting, escalation requirements and corrective action monitoring
  • Partner with Managers to assist with risk identification and management
  • Support the WHS Committees to engage staff in terms of consultation
  • Update WHS documentation in line with audit outcomes, legislative requirements and best practice
  • Participate and support in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with the WHS Management Plan and relevant legislation
