About the Role

We are seeking expressions of interest from qualified academics to join our team as casual academics in Nursing and Midwifery at our Blacktown and North Sydney campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to students in nursing and midwifery programs.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching and assessment strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of nursing and midwifery programs through feedback and suggestions.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure consistency in teaching approaches and share best practices in nursing and midwifery education.
  • Assess student performance through various methods and provide timely and constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and a university qualification higher than the one to be taught.
  • Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse/Midwife.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing innovative teaching and assessment activities.
  • Displays evidence of scholarship of teaching and/or a research profile to support the delivery of teaching excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a range of educational and administrative technologies and processes.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality tertiary teaching experience in undergraduate and/or postgraduate units and/or courses.
  • Capacity to contribute to curriculum design and implementation of units and courses at an undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to the organisation to capitalise on all available expertise in pursuit of excellence.
