Role Purpose:

The Senior SDET will contribute to the testing of Epsilon's Retail Media systems, working as a core member of an engineering team to provide leadership and guidance in design and implementation of test solutions.

The role involves working closely with the product team, developers, iteration managers, and designers to ensure appropriate test coverage and system fitness for purpose.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Mentor Junior and Intermediate Test Engineers by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.
  • Provide technical leadership and vision for initiatives.
  • Assist the Director of QE and Lead Quality Engineer with test strategy and test plan design.
  • Conduct and document proof of concepts on new testing practices and tools.
  • Analyse requirements for new or existing features to design and write test cases.
  • Maintain and refine the automation framework for a faster release cycle with better coverage.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs and systems flow.
  • Perform intensive testing to ensure program accuracy and functionality.
  • Collaborate with the Lead Quality Engineer, Director of QE, and Iteration Managers to ensure timely status and metrics reporting.

Qualifications

Work Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in software testing and/or development.
  • Strong experience with Java.
  • Experience in writing code for automated tests.
  • Understanding of STLC.
  • Experience with Playwright and API testing tools.
  • Experience with source control tools.
  • Ability to mentor and train others on testing processes.
  • Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Experience with microservice architectures.
  • Experience with Selenium testing tools.
  • Experience with Postgres or other databases.
  • Ability to deploy changes to or set up test environments.
  • Knowledge of web technologies.
