About the Role

The Trade Waste Officer will be responsible for managing Water Services Trade Waste and Backflow Prevention regulatory functions to ensure compliance with Council's policies and legislative requirements.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (Trade Waste) or equivalent, with a minimum of 12 months experience in Trade Waste or Water industry, demonstrating an understanding of relevant legislations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, reviewing, and implementing relevant policies and procedures
  • Issuing approvals and agreements
  • Inspecting and monitoring sites as per the implementation program
  • Liaising and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Interacting with community members
