Senior Terrestrial Ecologist Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Terrestrial Ecologist to join our team. As a key member of our Ecology practice, you will play a leading role in supporting projects across the region.

About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced ecologists looking to take their career to the next level. You will have the chance to work on a wide range of projects, from infrastructure development to natural resource management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in terrestrial ecology, including experience with flora and fauna surveys, impact assessments, and biodiversity analysis.

  • Provide expert advice to clients on environmental issues related to infrastructure and natural resource management projects.
  • Lead and coordinate environmental surveys and impact assessments of terrestrial ecosystems.
  • Deliver high-quality technical reports and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science and/or Ecology.
  • A minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience in ecology, preferably in a consulting or construction environment.
  • Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) accreditation or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated identification skills in New South Wales flora and fauna.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
