We are currently seeking a Technical Estimator and Design Draftsperson to join our Coopers Plains, Brisbane QLD team. Reporting to the National Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting our customers and clients through all issues relating to laser cutting and fabrication of their products
  • Servicing our customer's needs and requests professionally, thoroughly, and in a timely manner
  • Following up with customer requests, including quotations, order processing, technical, and general queries
  • Assisting the production, sales, and customer service officers with technical support
Requirements:
  • Experience in manufacturing with a high degree of experience in drafting for manufacturing processes
  • An understanding of fabrication processes, including laser cutting, folding, welding, and assembly processes
  • Experience with 3D design packages, preferably Inventor
  • Experience in sheet metal design
  • Ability to prepare bills of materials
  • Preparation of quotes
  • Good customer focus skills
  • Liaising with suppliers to source components
  • Good organisational and team working skills
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry
  • Excellent customer service/negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Willing to learn brake press folding software
  • An understanding of quality management systems
  • A working experience of MS Office
