We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Operations Manager to join our team in the Northern Territory. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our village services.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality management, with experience in managing teams and budgets. You will be responsible for:

  • Managing Staffing Levels: Work closely with the Operations Manager to manage staffing levels, including recruitment, training and performance management.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for clients and other departments as necessary.
  • Maintenance Management: Collaborate with maintenance managers to ensure that all plant, equipment and appliances conform to client and manufacturer specifications.
  • Housing Procedures: Regularly review housing procedures to ensure that measures to secure work safety and environmental protection are in place.
  • Training and Development: Identify and deliver on-site training requirements in line with company policy and legislative requirements.
  • Disciplinary Action: Oversee and agree upon disciplinary action for village staff with the Operations Manager, and ensure that any disciplinary action takes place within regulatory, company and client expectations.
  • Reward and Benefits Programs: Promote, implement and assist in the coordination of Sodexo's reward and benefit programs.
  • Employee Engagement: Manage the implementation of bi-annual employment engagement surveys in cooperation with the communications coordinator, and assist with the communications response to these surveys.
  • Cost Minimization: Work closely with the Operations Manager to develop and implement cost minimization measures where possible.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial and cost analysis of housing services and maintenance projects, aligning new and current projects with existing budgets.
  • OHS Compliance: Conduct OHS Toolbox Talks, exercises, drills, meetings and Pre-starts to meet Company, regulatory agency and client expectations.

You will also be required to maintain consistent access and review of regulatory, company and client-driven OHS manuals, policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4+ Years of Experience: In a managerial role within hospitality, facility management or similar industry, with previous people management and project management experience.
  • Australian Citizenship or Working Rights: Australian citizenship or full working rights.
  • Manual Driver's License: A current Manual Driver's License.
