The Audit Senior plays a key role in all client interactions and provides on-the-job training to junior members of the division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings of significant and complex audit areas;
- Identifies and addresses technical accounting and audit issues;
- Reviews financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and prepares reports and opinions for management;
- Conducts various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit;
- Assists with management and coordination of the audit team, including training, mentoring, and methodology compliance.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Essential
- A Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting Major;
Desirable
- Commencement or recent completion of a CA (or similar qualification).
DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES:
Essential
- 2-3 years of audit experience;
- Strong communication skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
- Demonstrates problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Working knowledge and application of the Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards, and other applicable legislation.
