Associate - Mining and Metals Finance Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join Societe Generale's Financing & Advisory Group in Sydney, Australia, as an Associate to support the origination and execution of structured finance transactions in the Mining, Metals, and related industries sectors.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Prepare, customize, optimize, and maintain financial models supporting advisory mandates, including creating and running financial scenarios and sensitivities.

• Interrogate the financial model for financing mandates, including creating and running sensitivities and checking integrity.

• Review and supervise financial modelling tasks undertaken by junior staff, and complete more complex modelling tasks where required.

• Stay abreast of developments across sectors, particularly Mining & Metals finance, as well as current transactions and opportunities in the market.

• Provide day-to-day transaction support, including structuring, pricing, preparing credit applications, undertaking detailed financial analyses, and due diligence analyses.

• Respect all relevant compliance practices and other internal requirements in relation to the execution of advisory & lending transactions.

• Manage internal processes relating to the arranging and advisory business, such as updating databases, credit application writing, and completing relevant internal system-based processes.

• Identify potential marketing opportunities and prepare pitch material, including reviewing feasibility studies and detailed analysis of financial models.

• Establish a network of contacts at key clients and prospective clients.

• Supervise and develop junior team members, including appropriate delegation and review of tasks suitable to their skills and experience.
