Vehicle Body Trimmer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced vehicle body trimmer to join our team.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Use metal, wood and fibreglass to construct frameworks
    • Operate shaping machines, cutting and welding equipment
    • Shape and cut aluminum and reinforced plastic using hand and power tools
    • Prepare vehicle trim work according to specific drawings and plans
    • Select fabric for cutting in addition to vinyl and leather and sew pieces together
    • Install armrests, floor coverings, linings, door trims, rubber seats, locks and handles to vehicles

Requirements:

  • AQF Cert III or equivalent of 3 years relevant experience may substitute formal qualifications
  • Relevant work experience in all types of vehicles
  • Ability to work unsupervised and following brand specifications
  • Ability to troubleshoot and work proactively as part of a team
  • Sound experience in fault finding and fast breakdown response
