Holiday Inn Werribee is a hotel in Melbourne that proudly showcases the Holiday Inn open lobby concept. We're looking for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for preparing hot and cold items for buffet breakfast, eggs to guests' liking, lunch and dinner cooking dishes from the Rosana Bistro menu, conference and events with a capacity up to 200 pax.

You'll have hands-on experience working in all kitchen sections, including Grill, Pans, Larder, Pass and Events. Your leadership skills will shine as you support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in facilitating training and mentoring junior chefs and culinary students. You'll also produce high-quality food and presentation with a la carte dishes and buffet style.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III Commercial Cookery or Culinary Hotel Management qualification and a valid Food Handlers Certificate. Experience working in a hotel kitchen or similar culinary environment will be highly desirable. Knowledge and experience with Modern Australian cuisine is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare hot and cold items for buffet breakfast and eggs to guests' liking
  • Cook dishes from the Rosana Bistro menu for lunch and dinner
  • Work in all kitchen sections, including Grill, Pans, Larder, Pass and Events
  • Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in training and mentoring junior chefs and culinary students
  • Produce high-quality food and presentation with a la carte dishes and buffet style

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a range of benefits, including paid birthday leave, enhanced parental leave, flexible work options and proactive health days. Uniforms are provided, and you'll be entitled to one barista coffee or tea per shift from Rosana Bistro & Bar.
