Electrical Automation Specialist

Bulla Dairy Foods is a leading Australian-owned dairy company with a rich history of innovation and excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Automation Specialist to join our Engineering team and drive the development of our electrical and automation systems.

This is a key role that will play a critical part in our company's success, requiring a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills. As an Electrical Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and refining our electrical installation and automation standards and strategies, providing hands-on support and technical leadership for electrical and automation projects, and designing, implementing, and documenting electrical and automation systems.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and refining electrical installation and automation standards and strategies
• Providing hands-on support and technical leadership for electrical and automation projects
• Designing, implementing, and documenting electrical and automation systems
• Conducting analysis on production processes to identify improvements, cost savings, and efficiency gains
• Collaborating across teams to define project scope, develop specifications, and manage project budgets
• Managing contractor activities to uphold the highest safety and quality standards
• Mentoring and training team members on automation systems and industry best practices

Requirements for this role include:

• A degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechatronics) or an A Grade Electrical License
• Proven experience in electrical and automation within the food processing industry, ideally in dairy
• Proficiency with automation software such as RSlogix 500, Studio 5000, Step 7 Classic, TIA Portal, WinCC, and Ignition
• A solid knowledge of AS/NZS3000 and other electrical installation standards required to ensure safe and compliant electrical installations
• Experience in design and specification of electrical and automation projects, tendering and evaluation of contractor proposals
• Previous experience in managing external contractors and systems integrators, supervising electrical installation works and plant commissioning
