Service Technician Role Summary

As a Service Technician at Emerson, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to customers across various industries, ensuring safety and delivering high-quality solutions.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide the highest level of application, field, and technical support to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all work and activity is carried out with safety as a priority, identifying and reporting potential safety issues within Emerson and customer organizations.
  • Execute planned service activities in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with ANZ, Asia Pacific, and Global teams to develop solutions and support Emerson Flow Solutions customers.
  • Respond to technical and commercial inquiries from customers, providing product demonstrations, quotations, and proposals.
  • Conduct training, sales calls, site walks, audits, and roadshows.
  • Analyze and research customer bases, staying up-to-date with market changes, competitors, technology, and industry trends.
  • Develop technical expertise, with a focus on technologies and applications.
  • Help create technical notes, service, sales, and applications tools to aid the business.
  • Build customer confidence through excellent service.
  • Aid the technical development of the Emerson Solutions Sales and Marketing team.
  • Stay updated on product lines through company-sponsored training and own initiatives.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting.
Requirements
  • Tertiary engineering or technical qualification in instrumentation, process, or automation fields.
  • Proven experience in developing demand, crafting trusted advisor relationships, and delivering value messaging for highly technical products, services, and solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fault finding and diagnostic skills for instrumentation technologies, including Gas Chromatographs, Process Gas Analyzers, Cascade Analyzers, Liquid Systems, Flame & Gas Detectors, Tank Gauging, and 3D Solids.
  • Current Restricted Electrical Work License.
